It is with a heavy heavy heart that I report that there have been several recent killings of mountain gorillas and that a young infant has been orphaned.

Every adult in a gorilla troop will try to protect the young so when an attack on a troop takes place, the chances are that many will die and orphans will be left behind (or taken and sold). It is heart-breaking.
